Lesson or Project: 4th Grade Native American Video and 2nd Grade Traditions Video
Holy Cross, Dewitt
iPad App and website: Educreations

How it Works: Educreations gives students the ability to draw, add photos, and text to a white canvas (or lined or grid). The app also allows students to record their voice either while they are drawing or after they add their content to the canvas.
 Curricular Connections:
2nd grade students were working on traditions for birthdays, Christmas, etc. They organized their thoughts on paper in a graphic organizer. The students then created a canvas of text and images that coordinate to each of the traditions they wrote about. They then recorded themselves talking about the traditions on each canvas. 4th grade students did the same thing but they created videos based on their research of Native Americans. Their videos showcased all they learned about the Native American culture.
