Rubric Grading in Google Docs: Orange Slice

Kathryn, from Seton High School, sent me this add-on the other day. I was so excited to find it because as a former English teacher, I know how cumbersome it can be to grade papers electronically.

This tool is great because it not only has pre-built rubrics for basic writing, but you can customize it any way you'd like.

Steps to using this with Google Classroom (makes your life WAY easier!)
1. Create a template assignment
2. Add Orange Slice to your add-on menu
3. Create the rubric and modify the settings
4. Send template out in Google Classroom to your students (make sure to choose "Make a Copy for Each Student" when attaching the Google Doc)
5. Students open assignment and work on it
6. Teacher opens assignment from Drive or Classroom, opens Orange Slice, and grades away!
